After a life spent mostly in the music and entertainment business, Chuck Tanner now devotes his talents and energies to writing and publishing. His first novel, The Enduring Game: The Inside Story of the FBI's Elite Predator-Killer Team, was published by St. Martin's Press in February, 2008. He also wrote two nonfiction works about the FBI: Operation Top Hood and Operation Top Hood II
He is the author of three novels featuring former Special Agent John Douglas: Operation Silent Thunder, Operation Black Ice, and Operation Black Ice II. He is also the author of five nonfiction works about those who have been involved with those operations: Silent Thunder, Black Ice, Final Justice (with former Assistant U.S. Attorney and Special Prosecutor David Nevin), Final Justice II (with former Assistant U.S.
Attorney and Special Prosecutor David Nevin), and Final Justice III (with former Special Agent Robert Ressler). His latest novel is Final Justice IV: The Endgame (with former Special Agent Robert Ressler).
